Soundtracks For Life

I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.

Billy Joel

I don’t think I could have put it any other way. And as I type this post out, I’m listening to music. Music helps us cope, share moments with friends, sing our hearts out (no matter how bad our voices are), and most importantly, express ourselves.

We all know that one song that gets everyone up on their feet, dancing. The slow song that is your future wedding song. The sad song that gets you every time and you listen to whenever you need a good cry. Music has proven to be therapeutic, use it, where else are you going to find free therapy?

So why not use music for all it can be. Create playlists for your special occasions, for leisure, and for your different moods. Have that one playlist you can always play when your friends come over, or the ” 😦 ” for rainy, sad days, or a pump-up playlist for your gym workout, or one playlist full of happy songs to get your day going. Build your soundtrack to your life.
